Instant dashboards from messy spreadsheets

Feb 12, 20256 min readHow-toProduct

Uploading spreadsheets shouldn’t require a BI team. VizMint detects tables, figures out the most important metrics, and drafts a story you can share—without manual setup.

1) Auto-detection that feels like magic

When you drop a CSV or Excel file, VizMint scans for tables, currencies, dates, and categories. It picks chart types that fit—trend lines for dates, bars for categories, KPIs for totals—and wires them into an instant dashboard.

2) Ask follow-up questions in plain language

Instead of tweaking filters manually, ask “Which SKUs drove the spike last week?” or “Show CAC vs LTV by channel.” The chatbot pulls from the same dataset and updates visuals alongside the answer.

3) Share with controls

Generate a public link, decide whether the chatbot is available, and track who views or chats. For internal reviews, keep links private and add a passcode.

4) Export-ready outputs

Download PDFs/PNGs for decks or export code snippets (SQL/JS/Python) to reuse the queries elsewhere.

Quick tips

  • Name sheets clearly; VizMint will use them as hints.
  • Add a short description during upload so AI summaries stay on-topic.
  • Use ISO dates (YYYY-MM-DD) to get instant trend detection.
  • For public shares, disable chatbot if you only want static viewing.
